You think you got it together, don't you? Dozens for you, but not the rest But soon your abject greed with haunt you and Fate will put you to the test You fuse denial with indignation Don't care what others have at stake Arrogance and pride are poor relations Is this truly the stand you want to make? CHORUS It doesn't have to be this way (It's time to choose, it's time to choose) There's still a chance to make things right (You have the power, you have the power) Those selfish souls will surely rue the day (Don't have to lose, don't have to lose) They chose the darkness over light (This is the hour, this is the hour) Goodwill's a hostage trapped inside you But your true heart is on display Can the eyes that play upon you? Enjoy the crush of Judgement Day CHORUS It's up to you, it's time to choose He cried to the sky but no one was there He shunned all the others before so they turned a blind eye In his moment of sadness and pain he longed to be made whole again But the rot in his heart had ravaged his soul It doesn't have to be this way, they said Is there still a chance to make things right? By god they told me, I would rue the day Entrapped in darkness There is no light

Additional Lyrics: Panic Prejudice Ego Greed Chaos Cowardice Anger Fear Panic Prejudice Ego Greed Chaos Ignorance Anger Fear As dusk settles on the world of man Who will cower, and who will stand? When Judgment speaks Her word to hear The righteous shall have naught to fear But those who cast out grace for sin To savor but a moment's win Will be branded with the pain of wrath For haven chosen the wicked path

about

Conceived in March 2020 while on a COVID-19 driven layoff from work, this piece (originally called "Toilet Paper Bloodbath") was intended to be a simple power-metal tune to blow off some creative steam. It was initially inspired by the comically despicable toilet paper hoarding and general disintegration of common courtesy that came with the outset of the pandemic, but morphed into something much deeper as circumstances changed and news continued to worsen.

Over the 9 months it took to bring this to completion, I was fortunate to have been able to have so many other talented artists lend their creative talents.
